Term 2 Week 8 – Monday, 24th June 2025
Principal’s Report

Reports and Parent Teacher Interviews
School Reports will be sent home on Friday, 27th June and will contain lots of great information about the wonderful work your children are doing in classrooms. Please take the opportunity to attend a parent /teacher interview. It is a great way to get to know the teacher and to find out how you can help your child at home and support their learning, there will be interpreters available to assist on Tuesday, 1st July from 3pm to 7pm. Notes for you to select interview times went out this week. If you did not get one, please ask for another one from the class teacher.
P& C Meeting
It was great to see so many parents at our last P & C meeting, and I hope to see even more at our next meeting. Parents had the opportunity to listen and ask questions about all the things happening in our school.
Our next P & C meeting will be on Thursday, 3rd July in our Kindergarten Hall at 9.15am. I hope to see lots of parents there!
Greenslip Awards
Congratulations to all the children who receive Green Slip awards in the next couple of weeks in recognition of all the good choices they are making both in the classroom and the playground. Well done everyone!
School Hats
Students are being encouraged to wear the school hat as part of our uniform policy. Please do not encourage your child to wear any other hat to school other than the school hat.
School hats are available at the school office.
Thank you for your co-operation on this matter.
Absence due to a long overseas holiday.
Please be aware that taking your child overseas for an extended period, that is more than 3 weeks, does affect their learning.
Your child is missing valuable learning. If you choose to do this, be aware that teachers will be reviewing your child’s progress at the end of the year and if necessary, will be recommending your child repeat that year again. If children miss too much school, they need to be given the opportunity to catch up and this may mean repeating the school academic year.
My advice to all parents is trying to keep trips back to family in other countries to our school holiday periods throughout the year. Then your child will have every opportunity provided to them at Auburn to learn.
If you are taking your child out of school for an extended period, it is essential you come to the office on the 3 – 6 site and complete the appropriate paperwork.
Teams Day
Thank you to everyone who participated in Teams Day by wearing the colours of their favourite team and contributing with a gold coin donation. All money raised will support our Choirs performance at The Opera House.

Road Safety around Our School – GO 40 FOR ME!
Parents please be aware of the road rules around school for the safety of our students and whole school community. We have had a number of parents disobeying these road rules. The Council has been seen around the school fining people for not following these rules. These fines are the responsibility of the parents and not the school. For the safety of everyone please BE AWARE, BE SAFE and SLOW DOWN! The speed limit around schools is 40.
